Let’s Not Cheat And Say We Did
Aug 22, 2018It’s Friday night and socializing is a whole lot more natural with a beer in hand than a protein shake. A burger to boot sounds beyond awesome. You’ve done great with your routine all week, so why not…right?!
HOLD UP. It’s hard to stay disciplined when bar food calls your name – but the proverbial cheat day can quickly go from “I earned it!” to “what have I done?!”
They’re Baaaack . . .
Once a sweet tooth, always a sweet tooth – if you aren’t careful. Your body craves what you feed it, so the moment you re-introduce a temptation into your diet, your cravings will rear their ugly heads again.
It’s Never Enough!
We all like to think anything in moderation is a-ok., but who are we kidding? A piece of a cookie never satisfied a person and your hulk-like capacity for calories says one won’t cut it for you either!
A bite can lead to a binge, real fast. Better to keep those downfalls at bay with a simple, NO.
Who Wants to Be in a Toxic Relationship?
Do you want half a bicep or half a set of abs? Then why would you want halfway good eating habits?
When toxins are built up in your system, a host of issues can occur, including indigestion. Your efforts to eat healthy can be largely thwarted when the goodness has no freedom to make a difference.
It’s MUCH easier to say no to unhealthy options, once you’ve actually detoxed your system. After ridding your routine of processed sugars, refined wheat, and trans fats, your body will adapt to a clean system and crave what you need! Bye-bye forever fake food!
You’ll Live.
It’s never too late to pick up where you left off. If you slip, relax. Remember…it’s a marathon, not a sprint! Set yourself up for success and go all in on your commitment to STAY fit one great choice at a time.
EXTRA TIP:
Try substituting the taste of sweet (savory, for the salt junkie) with something just as flavorful, minus the regret. To replace ice cream, acquaint yourself with a healthy frozen treat. Instead of greasy potato chips, try quinoa crackers. BE PATIENT. You aren’t going to fall in love at first bite, but you’ll learn to like it!
Here is one of our favorite substitutes you can feel good about…get your sugar fix and your protein intake accomplished at the same time!
